I can remember when i the very first budget i delivered as treasurer in 19 78, a long time ago. This pre dated the rise of all the now very authoritative economic zink tanks. And it was becoming increasingly obvious there had to be some kind of rival source of advice. I think that's been the strongest possible validation of the original sion. A bee mot excellent department, but you do need quallity, independent thin tan culture.
