I'm also really cautious of tools that are trying to weed people out. Jonathan Raymond's accountability dial is a model that works both ways and allows people then to respond in the way that they're ready to respond to. I love the distinction Kim Scott makes in her work on radical candor between rock stars and superstars. We can be superstars and rock stars at different times in our careers, she says. And we have tons of people in our lives who fall into that category and are incredible amazing contributors.
