I was surprised at their reactions some of them go okay actually I'm one of them says I'll be happy to take a break from therapy. Some of them are furious and it kind of chimes into perhaps feelings of abandonment from an earlier age. We're in many circumstances taking on a secondary traumatisation of people's lives and their stories so we can be no help to them and to ourselves if we're completely overwhelmed and exhausted. It's so important for our well-being and our ability to be present.
