There is something magical about having that fast feedback. That you do get in a YouTube channel or a podcast because people can watch it right away. I've even noticed that it has changed the way that some books are written to go back to book writing we discussed earlier. But that was the first time I ever heard the name, the word Google. And it's just so funny to think about how the world has changed, you know, in that 20 years. It's just so amazing.

We talked about my dad's experience researching for his thesis and books as an undergraduate without modern-day notetaking tools, what makes researchers interested in their research, the conflict with freer form notetaking and publishing, and how to make your notes accessible to the general public as an academic.
