The Rise of Universities in the Middle Ages
Theology is based on fables, and you can't learn anything from theology. The propositions were met with strong reactions from the academic community. Broadly speaking, universities tended to become less atonomous and more intolerant towards the late middle ages. In return for their patronage, the emperors, kings and popes wanted a say in the content of what was taught.
