Brooke: It feels important that we continue to look at the ways that publishing marginalizes both entire segments of people and entire genres. Donna Hill writing for a black readership, specifically women's fiction in romance. This is the exact audience that book publishing has not catered to well in the past. Brooke: We're seeing a whole lot more content development by and for people of color. But it seems important to also acknowledge that these books and shows they aren't necessarily, they don't have to be necessarily for people of colour.
