Buddhists in dependent origination are calling disturbances, right? And so this is the backwardsness of it. I'm linking the neuroscience that many people, if they've seen the TED talk by Anil Seth, really, he hammers this nonintuitive causal chain. It is our own internal machinations that are actually part of the causal chain or causal network that bring into perception the world out there. and then we interpret that.
