A portion of Ellen's spinal cord had been preserved. Some experts have been able to take a look at that. Dr. Wayne K. Ross is a neuropathologist, and he concluded that the stab wounds would not only have damaged her spinal cord, pretty much would have severed it. And this would have incapacitated her.
