The Contradictions in the Media
CNN's John Defterios says the media has two narratives about Russia. One is that Putin can't gain an inch and get any rewards for his aggression. The other is that if he gains a single inch, it cannot be allowed to happen at any cost. This isn't entirely an accurate framing because Ukraine getting its long-term security is a huge red line for Russia,. And joining NATO, which is really the only way you guarantee their security, is a huge win for Ukraine and a huge loss for Russia.
