As the population continues to grow, more sand is needed. The round grains of sahara sand have little use in construction. Sand has just been seen as a never ending resource - but it took hundreds of millions of years to be created. We need to keep track of how much sand we actually need both now and projected into the future. It's clear that we need toy closer attention to those tiny grains.
