The Importance of Empathy in Innovation

I think the thing is that we're stuck in a corporate role, right? Because I think part of it is to innovate, you actually have to be outside the box and corporations are really built around scale and structure. And if you cave to that structure too much, you end up just having incremental innovation as opposed to disruptive innovation. One of the most important skills if you're a corporate innovator is empathy. Until you unpack how they see the world, you can't even get them on your team.
