What they seem to be driving at in part is that maybe we're a little too uptight about gun restrictions and gun safety. Part of the reason that children are getting killed by guns at relatively low rates is because people are cautious around them. And trying to like drop that social stigma is just going to drive those numbers up. It's overgeneralization from extremely specific data.
