How Did the Child Obliques Sing the Liturgies?

The child obliques were expected to sing with the choir in the choral pieces. And then there could be boy soloists singing on different occasions particularly intonations of brief response or great response and certain processional hymns. They would certainly sing quite a few of the pieces that are simpler such as the brief response and then they would sing along with the rest of the choir things like the Psalm Antifons.
