The Genetics of Lipodema
I was just wondering if Dr. Carl had any information or whether he's aware of any research into what actually causes the condition and how it manifests. I've got a very specific version of a fat disorder called lipoma, LIPOMA, which is little tiny collections of fat on my skin. And they're between about three and five millimeters in diameter and it's genetic. Lipodema is different with the edema meaning swelling, as you said, it primarily affects women,. typically worsens during puberty pregnancy or menopause when you've got a change in the hormone levels.
