Dr Susan Rossell is a Professor of Cognitive Neuropsychiatry at Swinburne University, Melbourne. She has published over 390 peer-reviewed papers and it's currently running Australia's largest clinical trial examining whether psilocybin assisted psychotherapy is effective for the treatment of treatment resistant depression. The TGA recently moved two psychedelic drugs from Schedule 9, Prohibited Substances to Schedule 8, Controlled Medicines with specific indications for treatment resistant depression and PTSD. Dr Rossell: "I think physiologically, so in terms of our actual physical health, I think we're pretty sad"
