The Importance of Sterilization in Hepatitis C

Worldwide, there are 58 million people living with hepatitis C virus. An estimated 21% of those knew about it and 62% had been treated by the end of 2019. We need to amp up efforts to get people diagnosed and then connect them with treatment after they get that diagnosis. There's a goal of eliminating it by 2030 because this is possible. But before we get there, we need people to get tested.
