The Origins of the Gospel of John

John has a handful of literary scenes where it seems like there's something going on for which we may not really have much evidence. For instance, during the Last Supper, Jesus is like, all right, everybody, let's get up and get out of here. And then you have three chapters of sermonizing. The next chapter goes, so they got up and got out of there. And it becomes like two chapters later. But that's not a text critical issue because every single manuscript of John does go straight to the Sea of Galilee. So that one is more source criticism. We can see the story doesn't make sense here.
