How to Cannulate a Catheter
There's the direct cannulation with an angiocathitor in which the catheter is basically threaded off the needle like an IV. The other strategy would be use of an integrated guide wire system and like the arrow kit. And despite concerns about making two holes in the artery, it's not been shown to affect either the success rate or complication rate of cannulation.
