She's My Sister Con

Genesis spends 15 chapters on Abraham, 9 on Isaac's son Jacob, but less than 2 on Isaac himself. The only story in which Isaac truly takes center stage is when he pulls the old She's My Sister Con yet again. And the victim is again the long-suffering King Avamelech of the Philistines. He has always been duped and manipulated by his father, by his wife, and by his youngest son. God speaks to Isaac just once, and then only to remind Isaac of God's promise to his father to make him a great nation.
