We are less likely than hoped to reach the target of less than one point five degrees celsius of warming. We're also less likely than feared to reach truly awful scenarios like r c p eight point five, greater than six degrees of warming. Partly this is because we've genuinely made progress in things like solar power. And partly it's because we've studied climatology more and ruled out some scenarios where the climate is super hypersens to carbon. It can't necessarily distinguish between direct sibling influence and more complicated things like your parents changed parenting style during that time.
