When Should You Start Speaking?
"I think you can call it controversial. And I've definitely transitioned my position on this a few times over his 20 plus years of being in the language world," he says. "For me personally, I transitioned to doing output a little earlier than I would have otherwise because I realized that as a perfectionist, I'm never going to start talking until I feel ready." He doesn't think necessarily it needs to be day one for people who want to travel and communicate just to get around.
