i worked on the book for 15 months before we even announced it to the world. So that's 15 months if like people not even recognizing that there was a whole other thing happening behind the scenes. And i don't think side hustles get enough credit, and i started writing down stories when i would be in my bed drinking cocoa or sipping coffee at 8 p.m. I need to turn on different part of me,. and i need to protect that side of me. The moment that there are expectations or opinions, or dead lines, or even dollars behind a project, my creativity can go squash.
