The True Whigs

The true whigs were te american representatives in the continental congress and mostly in the localthe state legislatures. They believed strongly that the revolution was not a war to create an american nation. The united states is running, by that time, a forty million dollar debt m it's growing by five thousand b going every year. But true ri whigs believe that's ok, that what we want is local control, state control, and any attempt to impose a national government is a violation of the whig principles claimed we were fighting for.
