The author grew up in a kurian immigrant church, where women were not allowed to preach or teach over men. "I just lived my life like that, kind of bliss like ignorance," she says. She didn't have language to say is there another narrative that's possible for women? Could i possibly pursue ministry? But self awareness helped her come to those conclusions.
