The Advantages of a Graduate Degree
People who get the doctoral degree usually are considering either research, teaching at a university level, or consulting. So there's a lot of advantages, of course, to those types of degrees. The other advantage is that those degrees are very career focused. You don't see that if you're in the Master's degree in chemistry and not getting sought after by chemical or pharmaceutical companies.
