Suffragette forces concentrated on helping the war effort. Emmeline pankhurst essentially decided that woman's rights aren't going to be of much use to us if germany occupies great britain. That was, that was her calculus. The bodyguard, whom the press called the amazons, and edith garrett, were almost entirely forgotten, almost, but not not entirely.
