I was reading a lot of early critiques of machine learning in a i by people wi really like and respect who are social scientists or even journalists. And, you know, they're getting a lot of things right, but sometimes veering completely off the mark because there wasn't any real familiarity with how this stuff actually operates at a granular level. So it's a very long winded, abset way of saying what i'm looking for. I look at a i and say, well, what’s this thing actually doing inside? What is machine learning actually doing?
