If you're google or facebook, you've got the law saying you can't give undue preference to any one news organization. So they're arguing that this bill breaks the internet, it breaks search. And why that matters to more than just me and other odiginal newspublishers is that it hands a bargaining position to the biggest newspapers like the globe an mail which is owned by the richest family in canada. I'm hearing like jamie irving is saying, i want a hundred and 50 thousand dollars from big tech for every journalist i employ,. That's at least more than he pays the journalists he employs.
