The Power of Synthetic Biology
The idea is that DNA could be designed and programmed to make different organisms. The team behind synthetic biology was made up of three other grad students and one professor who believed in the vision. Jason says a lot of his colleagues basically told the engineers that this all sounded like total science fiction. They got involved because we were zealots, he says.
