Labour and the Left of Centre - Is There a Difference?
Shadow Education Secretary Bridget Filson ached to be more ambitious. She cited other countries with really ambitious childcare plans. But as an observer of politics, I also know that labor doesn't do anything in opposition. If you don't get into government, you can't implement those plans. Labor is stuck in this rather awkward position - it has to win over Tory voters and appeal to young people who might vote green or live them.
