Do You See the Gorilla?
Researchers like to make fun of the weakness of this method. If you heard the individual words i'm speaking, you would only be able to understand about 50 % of them. But because your mind is so good at predicting what i'm about to say, you're hopefully understanding most of my words. And we construct based on our predictions of our past. We predict based on our culture. So if we go outside and the sun came out, we would look up and say, oh, a rainbow. And we would see a seven bands. Now there's no color to a rainbow.
