The Contrast Between Patience and Kindness Toward the Sinful People in Exodus 17

Moses has been an incredibly patient leader with Israel earlier in numbers we saw him described as the most humble man, a very meek man. And now he finally loses it, right? Should we really do this for you? You know, I'm going to strike the rock and disobey the Lord's words. But yet the Lord, the one whom they are most ultimately sinning against is continuing to provide them water even in the midst of Moses's disobedience. So I think the contrast between the patience of Yahweh and the kindness and grace of Yahweg toward the sinful people is remarkable.
