Is Uranium Mining a Cleaner Industry?

Uranium mining is one of it's up there with the more environmentally conscious cleaner mining that's available. Most of it's done using an acid leaching method where instead of just clear cutting like large swaths of land and making giant holes in the landscape. It's a very different management style, but it's better for maintaining the public confidence in what we're up to. The industry is a lot more conscious of those concerns than they had been in the past.
