Aquinas on the Articles of Faith
For Aquinas, he's very much in the Christian tradition that when in fact we ascend to the faith it is only moved by the grace that is imparted to us. And for those who are familiar with church history and the debates in the fourth and actually fourth and fifth century about the English monk Pelagius, Aquinas did very much an anti Pelagian. He doesn't believe that you can acquire grace by any means other than God's gratuitous decision to impart grace to you.
