Marks Sycoca, the Origin of Value

The physiocrats believed that value really only comes from one industry, and that is agriculture. Adam smith took these ideas of the physiocrats thinking that he could just apply them to industry. Value does not originate from the market, as adam smith seemed to think, or really doesn't at all. It all originates from real human labor.
