The Supreme Court Justices Are Shrouded Morons
This is a foundational case that is taught to most law students in like Con Law or in your basic criminal procedure class. It's cited all the time, it's shaped police practices in this country. There aren't really any boundaries to what rights cops are allowed to violate as long as they can think of an excuse. The court has never put itself in a position where it allows police officers to do its job against the excesses of the state.
