Putin's Vision of Leninism and Imperialism
Putin has a vision or basically fuses Leninism and Russian imperialism. He wants to drag history back to the depths of the 19th and 20th centuries with ethnic nationalism, great power politics. That's a very dangerous concoction. And again, it's one that's not coming out of one particular historical tradition but that fuses at least two very dangerous ingredients.
