The Disappointment of Outsized Expectations for Healing

When you started writing more openly about your, you know, actual lived experience rather than just presenting yourself as a sort of wise therapist or blank slate for others to project on to us. Some people were disappointed. And I think that's one of the gifts of being willing to not wait until we're on some perceived other side before we let ourselves be seen in the messiness of what we're moving through. We forget that there's like a whole human contained within that role and containing that role.
