Endometrial Cancer and D&C in Pre-Malignant Uterine Lesion

The accuracy of D&C compared with endometrial suction in diagnosing pre-cancer and excluding concurrent carcinoma is actually unclear. The method of sampling is less important if management includes definitive treatment with a hysterectomy which eliminates the risk of failure to diagnose an endometrial cancer. A single institution retrospective series found that D&C used a diagnosed endometrial intrapathelial neoplasia was less likely to miss cancer than the use of endometrial Suction curette.
