The Thin Slice Theory

The theory of thin slices is basically the small pieces of information that you get when you initially see something or respond to something that happens. The idea behind thin slicing is that if you learn to do it correctly, it's kind of like an automated, accelerated version of what a guy named Gottman can predict with 95% accuracy. John Gottman was 90% accurate for 15 minutes based on their heart rate, their movements and while he watched them talk to each other.
