Is There a Priest in Beowulf?

The oldest surviving copies of Beowulf were rewritten by monks. There are a number of, uh, sort of biblical illusions, Christological illusions throughout the text. It's interesting to see the cultural, the enculturation of the Christianity that Beowulf presents.
