Hitchcock's Toren Curtain had been profitable But it carried a certain stench of failure around it And so Hitchcock's confidence was shaken He started work on "Friendsy" which was the movie he made after this and which I love. For me, there was nothing to Mr. and Mrs. Smith That is fascinating, like he was obsessed with long takes In that film and like everything plays out In seemingly 10 minute takes As Joseph Cotton like drunkenly walks through every scene Now, while not a great movie, that I can, you know, sink my tea sent to It's technically a bad Hitchcock film but as fine as a movie.
