The Immutability of Code

The way programs enforce their rules and the way legal institutions do is almost all what they call ex post. So if you put in your address into something like, let's just make up a scenario here, right? I want to keep this address one because I like it. The only way those people can do anything, get money back from you, force that contract to be null and void would be going to this court system after the fact. Now imagine instead of going to a court system, they were able to sue you through a computer system and they said this address is invalid. And so once code is out in the world ... there's no way you can change it. It's immutable
