How to Maximize Your 401k
A thousand dollars is better than nothing of a cushion, but ideally three, three months of living expenses in a savings account as an emergency fund would be great if you feel comfortable more than six. A really good one to look into is the SEP IRA which works like a 401k, but it's for your own company. There are restrictions if you have employees so it's best if you ask your accountant,. which one is better. But there's definitely options to put away a lot of tax free or pre tax money if you're a business owner into your retirement accounts.
