The Difference Between a CGM Sensor and a Pump
With transcutaneous CGM sensors, they typically are lasting 10 to 14 days. FDA approved infusion sets can be used for up to seven days. But on average, they last shorter than that. Mainly what fails with infusion sets very often is the adhesive. It fails. After three, four days, some people can run it out longer, but other people can't.
