The Immutability of God

A classical theist is committed to these broad Notions of immutability impassibility necessity curactuality. But at the same time we want to think that uh creation is contingent. It wasn't necessitated by the divine nature And so we think that there's something that god knows um In virtue of of bringing about creation That presumably he might not have known if he did not bring about creation So like on on the surface initially it just seems like there might be change in god We might be you know have activated some intrinsic passive potency or put a metaphysical accident in a god Which the classical theists are saying no Can't do that not allowed and again, that's that's a sort
