"I allowed myself, for however long i needed, to feel bad about not being able to make a pean of butter jelly sandwich," she says. "And then slowly, i think i just thought more about, ok, well, i didn't get it right that time, but when i'm in a better head space, let me try again." She adds: 'When you realize that you're making progress, i think it helps build confidence'
Christine Ha fell in love with cooking in college when she tried to recreate the Vietnamese dishes her mother had cooked for her as a child. But when a rare neurological condition left Christine legally blind by age 24, she worried she might never be able to cook again.
