Senna and the Anti-Sella Resistance
Some historians have suspected Sulla somehow engineered it, although there's not an ounce of proof. As his rival Senna was busy mustering and training up the new consular armies, he was out in the field giving a speech to some rowdy and mutinous troops. And as he's pushing his way through the crowd at this assembly of soldiers, he's moving towards the speaker's tribunal. He encounters some stubborn soldiers, and his bodyguards encounter some stubborn soldiers,. The very figurehead of the anti-Sella resistance, gets stabbed to death.
