Are There Any Signals Between Community Growth and Paid Communities?

I think about things as just building and strengthening and sort of spinning off this web. I think if you grow too fast, it's really hard to then put a structure to the webs. So slow, organic growth, to me, is is the best way to do it. A lot of paid communities have popped up over the last year. How should people be thinking about the value creation in exchange for that membership fee? What are some of the things you think through?
