The Effect of Immobilization on Finger Nail Growth

Nails on our longest fingers tend to grow the fastest. If you bite your nails or do hard work with your hands, your nails grow faster than in people who don't do these things. The left hand is more likely to use that hand for scratching at things and manipulating things - so it may be a result of being right-handed. But no matter how your handedness breaks down, what you do with your footed limbs will also affect your nail growth.
